As recommended I did install UVNC 1206 from the zip folder. I initiated a remote session from the Solaris Sparc machine,
Here is my setup info:

Installed UVNC 1206 Server and Viewer on Win 2000 PC
Solaris Sparc m/c has the default VNC Client ...

I have installed UltraVNC 1.2.1.2 (UVNC Server only) on a Windows 2000 Professional PC.
Login to the shell of a Solaris 5.8 Sparc m/c and attempt to access windows 2000 PC, It tries to connect to the windows PC and fails with, error occurred winvnc.exe, writing logs.
Both machines are in LAN ...
